This?Medical Assistant is with a family practice physician office at Saint Luke's South. The environment is patient focused, dynamic, and rewarding. The patient population served includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and senior adult. The Medical Assistant will perform duties collaboratively and at the direction of the Physician, Manager, and Supervisor. Expectations and responsibilities will include providing world class customer service, functioning professionally and independently, applying clinical judgment, prioritizing tasks, documentation in the electronic health record, excellent communication skills, relaying test results to patients, obtaining vital signs, rooming patients, assisting the physician with procedures, obtaining specimens, phlebotomy, performing CLIA waved testing, administering injections and other medications, and cleaning and stocking exam rooms. This is a PRN-hours vary?position in an?clinic setting?that?schedules patient appointments Mon! day thru Friday 7am-5:30 pm.???
The MA will assist care pr! oviders in the delivery of professional medical care including, but not limited to, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, documenting in the EMR per clinic protocol, assisting RN with phone calls, scheduling procedures, and assisting with office procedures.
Requirements
Preferred:
- Medical Assistant experience and certification (CMA, CNA or RMA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
This is a PRN position and will only work on an as needed basis.
