Registered Nurse

Description: Mercy is in need of Registered Nurse right now, this job will be placed in Kansas. More details about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. The Registered Nurse coordinates the patient care provided to a selected group of patients during a given shift by identifying specific patient care needs and prescribing interventions to meet the patient's expected outcomes. In addition, the ! RNassures that all physician orders are followed or communicates with the physician regarding any need for change in orders. Interventions are accomplished by the RN directly or through delegation to team members. The RN is expected to continually evaluate the patient's progress towards the expected outcomes and to make changes in the plan of care/critical path as needed. Effective communication with team members is essential.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate from accredited school of nursing.
Experience: No experience required beyond that obtained in school of nursing.
Licensure: Current license in the State of Kansas or a temporary permit and eligible to take the next State Board examination.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; must be completed within three (3) months of employment.
Other: Verbal/written communication skills are necessary to understand patient's charts, doct! ors' orders, nursing care plan, and medication orders. Compute! r skills necessary.This co-worker is educated and capable of performing patient care for all age groups -- pediatrics through geriatrics. May float to other areas. Co-worker works as a team member. May make complex decisions surrounding patient care. Handles confidential information regarding patients and records.
