The RN I is accountable for utilizing the nursing process throughout the provision of patient/family care. The RN is responsible for delegating patient-care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. The RN is responsible for coordinating the care of patients and consulting other disciplines of the health care team as indicated. The RN functions collaboratively with the medical staff and the other disciplines to provide and enhance patient care. The RN adheres to all nursing policies and standards, and proactively strives to maintain and improve quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for facilitating patient care, anticipating patient care needs, individualizing patient care and adjusting or modifying the nursing plan of care as appropriate. The RN will possess and utilize effective technical skills for the provision of safe and appropriate care, i.e. general post-op care, pharmaco! logy knowledge, and assessment skills.

Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
