Paramedic

Location: Great Bend, Kansas

EagleMed is currently seeking experienced Paramedics and EMTs in Great Bend, KS for our rapidly expanding ground ambulance fleet. Ground ambulance operations include safe, prompt transport of air medical clinicians and patients, to or from la! nding zones or airports, to receiving facilities as well EagleMed ground ambulance clinicians also will perform higher level of care inter-facility transports.

Qualifications:

• Two years critical care and ambulance driving experience
• Graduate of an accredited EMT Paramedic Program as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or Paramedic (EMTP)
• Current license / certifications appropriate for the level of care as required in the State of Kansas.
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
• Valid Kansas Driver's License

Must be able to work in the following conditions:

• Free of physical ailment that may impair consciousness or cognitive ability.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift approximately 120lbs.

Special qualific! ations:

• Proficiency with Radio, telephone, co! mputer operations, necessary to coordinate with communications center for response of appropriate medical emergency units including fixed wing, rotor wing, and ground ambulances.
• Possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Candidates must demonstrate proficiencies established by EagleMed LLC and obtain EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) or equivalent.
• Possess good computer skills.
• Ability to work with others as a team.
• Possess strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously outside the hospital / ground ambulance environment.
• Ability to adept well to change.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous flight experience.
• Current certification as Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C)
