More details about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to work with the pediatric population in a school setting.
Position is for full time or part time work, must be fl! exible to work at multiple locations.
Job Description:
Provides professional speech therapy services using recognized and approved techniques and appropriate professional judgment to school age children with a variety of disorders/disabilities ranging from mild to moderate. Position is responsible for providing quality client care, program development and comprehensive documentation.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes problem solving, decision making methodology in evaluating, planning, communicating, directing and delivering client care.
Standards:
A. Performs evaluations and assessments, determines appropriateness of treatment, clarifies goals and establishes speech language pathology Individualized Educational Plans.
B. Provides direct speech language pathology services following standard procedures and safety precautions in compliance with professional standards of ethics.
C. Provides trainin! g and instruction to student, family and staff.
D. Ma! intains required documentation (e.g. evaluations, progress notes, etc.).
E. Performs assessments when appropriate.
F. Provides reports and recommendations for student care conferences, etc.
G. Obtains necessary prior authorization for speech therapy services
Education: Masters in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent, must have appropriate state licensure and ASHA Certification
