RN Oncology
Location: Leavenworth, Kansas

A.Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills.
B.Demonstrates ability to provide care/service safely and efficiently for the care of each patient.
[X] Pe! diatric (1 to 12 years)
[X] Adolescent (12 to 18 years)
[X] Adult (19-65 years)
[X] Older Adult (65 years and over)
C.Assesses and interprets the patient status utilizing physical assessment, laboratory and diagnostic procedure results, and the patient interview. Uses this information to provide patient care utilizing the nursing process.
D.Demonstrates knowledge and skill in all aspects of IV therapy, i.e., hydration, chemotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products.
E.Manages patient care based on knowledge of cancer, cancer treatment, and side effects of such treatment.
F.Provides education to the patient and family regarding disease and treatment plan.
G.Contributes to the orientation, education, and evaluation of new staff and the community.
H.Consults with members of the interdisciplinary team regarding pertinent patient issues and collaborates with research staff regarding ongoing studies.
II.Secondary Responsibilities

Degree from accredited s! chool or program
- Current State licensure
- BLS Certification approved by the American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience, two preferred.
