Job Title: : SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - REQ 20008 Job Code : Shift : 8 Hour Day Shift Employment Status : Full-Time Average Hours per Week : Category : Speech/Language Pathology JOB DESCRIPTION: New Via Christi - St. Teresa Rehabilitation Unit:Position Summary:A key member of the Rehab Services professional staff responsible for providing clinically competent evaluations and/or treatment programs for all assigned patients, and for documenting care according to department standards. Represents Via Christi within the community.Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Demonstrates knowledge of injury, illness or disability of patient population served. Demonstrates clinical competency and performance in the following: evaluations, assessment tools, and intervention programs; equipment/modalities used in treatment; documentation and charging according to departmental standards meets productivity standards as set per clinical area.
Provides professional education to students, staff and the public. May perform other duties as assigned or requested. Management Responsibilities:This job has no management responsibilities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Master's degree from a four-year college or university in an approved Speech/Language Pathology program is required.

Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer skills with specific abilities in word processing and\or spreadsheet applications. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Kansas State license required.
National license, registration, or certification appropriate for professional credentials preferred; CPR required within 60 days of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers offered by the American Heart Association or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer offered by the Red Cross received within 30 days from date of hire.(VCH-P) Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
