JOB SUMMARY: Manages the provision of nursing care for the critically ill pediatric patient in accordance with the Indi! ana Nurse Practice Act and established policies, procedures and protocols of the St.Vincent Indianapolis Regional Hospitals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Assesses the patient in a systematic and organized manner.
2) Formulates nursing diagnoses and develops plan of care.
3) Initiates nursing actions and implements strategies to maximize patient outcomes.
4) Delegates, supervises and/or collaborates with other members of the health care team in the delivery of safe and effective nursing care.
5) Evaluates status of interventions and patient goals for the purpose of reassessment, revision of plan of care and discharge planning.
6) Promotes family-centered care by collaborating with families and an interdisciplinary team to implement strategies to maximize pediatric patient outcomes.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time,nights; 36 hours per week.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have valid IN Registered Nurse license ! or license eligible with 2 years experience
2. BLS Healthc! are Provider
3. PALS within 1 year of hire to position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. CCRN certified
2. PALS certified
3. One year PICU experince preferred
4. Peds experience preferred

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, the ability take appropriate action and to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
