The Radiology Department is staffed with Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists, and Nuclear Medicine Physicians dedicated to providing quality patient care. We currently have an opening for a Radiation Therapist.

Responsibilities:

• Performs simulations for tumor localization. Accurately delivers the prescribed course of treatment to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Provides patient education and monitors treatment-related reactions and complications.
• Completes and maintains accurate documentation of all procedures and takes verification films. Utilizes diode dosimetry and TLDs for dose verification.
• Practices and enforces all radiation safety requirements, monitors equipment for compliance with standards, detects ! malfunctions and makes appropriate response.
• Files an! d retrieves files and charts as needed for simulations and treatments.
• Assumes "on-call" responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Two years of experience in a major cancer center preferred.
• Registered Radiation Therapist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
