Job Title: SUPPORT SERVICE TECHNICIAN Job Code: 25916 Shift: 8 Hour Evening Shift Employment Status: Full-Time Average Hours per! Week: 40 Category: Facilities/ Maintenance JOB DESCRIPTION: Via Christi Health's rich history of serving the people of Kansas and the surrounding region dates back more than 100 years to the healing ministries of our founding congregations. Today, Via Christi Health is the largest provider of health care services in Kansas. We serve Kansas and northeast Oklahoma through our doctors, hospitals, senior villages and health services.Position Summary: Serves and supports staff, patients and visitors by performing duties associated with Via Christis Support Services department. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Completes general maintenance, work orders and daily tasks.
Covers for security shifts as needed. Safely transports patients to and from facility as needed. Receives and distributes product throughout facility and other locations as needed. Runs floor maintenance program within applicable ministry.
Helps with environmental service tasks and funct! ions as needed. Deliver food trays and run cash register for n! utrition services as needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience preferred. Must have working knowledge of hazardous ma! terials standards. Safety: Uses tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Cost Consciousness: Works within approved budget; conserves organizational resources.

Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; seek ways to improve and promote quality. Computer skills: Has understanding and experience with the use of basic Windows program and Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Outlook Email. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Drivers License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers offered by the American Heart Association, BLS for Healthcar! e Provider offered by the Military Training Network (MTN), or CPR/AED f! or the Professional Rescuer offered by the Red Cross within 30 days post date of hire. Crisis Prevention Institute card (to be acquired within 90 days of hire). Frequently able to detect and discern both loud and soft sounds! such as phone calls and customer questions. Constantly able to use hands and fingers to type, write, and file.
Frequently able to use near vision for viewing computer monitor and written materials. Occasionally required to detect unusual odors that could indicate environmental issues. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequenting exposed to blood, body fluids, fumes, or airborne particles, and sharp objects potentially contaminated with blood borne pathogens or other infectious agents. Position Scope/Patient Population: This position has direct contact with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
