Job Summary
Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is currently seeking neonatal nurse practitioners to work within the Neonatology Services Department. The neonatal nurse practitioner provides primary health care and emergency services to high-risk newborns and infants. This includes obtaining history, performing physical exams, interpreting lab, radiographic, and clinical data to assist in developing a plan of care for each infant under physician supervision. The neonatal nurse practitioner II will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with protocols and policies as consistent with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners, in addition to collaborating with nursing and allied health staff to help in providing family teac! hing and coordinating discharge planning.
